Top Layer Refinishing restores the old, top layer of finish

100% Dustless & Walkable in 3 Hours.

Most hardwood floors don't need to be completely refinished and stripped down to bare wood. At well over half the cost of a full hardwood floor refinish, our Buff and Recoat service is 100% dustless and walkable in 3 hours!

Our process

First, one of our floor technicians begin the process by Deep Cleaning your hardwood floors and extracting all the dirt and grime that has penetrated into the pores of your wood.

Next, we prep the floor with a special formulated product that guarantees adhesion with the existing finish.

Finally, we finish off the process by laying a new top-coat of High Traffic water-based polyurethane, creating a uniform sheen and extending the life of your hardwood floors. Using the industry's toughest finish, Bona High Traffic HD guarantees your floors for years to come.

Why Use this service?

While we offer Full Hardwood Refinish services, our hope is that you never have to get to that point. A Full Hardwood Refinish is disruptive to your life, taking multiple days to complete and costs over double the price of our other services. Our Buff and Recoat service is a preventative service because by adding a new layer of our special formulated High Traffic Polyurethane, it extends the life of your floors.

A fast and amazing solution that 99% of people with hardwood floors don’t know about. Finish has a life to it and daily walking, dirt, sunlight, water etc, is constantly breaking down the thickness and durability of the floor. It’s so important to have this process done every 2-5 years (depending on usage) before your floor finish get’s too thin and your wood starts being affected, damaged and turning gray and black. If your floor finish get’s too thin, the only solution is a full refinish so stay ahead of the game, save yourself thousands of dollars and get it re-coated before it’s too late!

It is highly important to keep up with the re-coat process. Finish has a breaking point that if reached and exceeded, re-coating will do it no good. Re-coating should take place every 2-5 years. It depends on the environment and use of the floor. Commercial floors will generally need a more consistent re-coat process to keep the protective layer built up as many times as 3-4 times/ yr. Now if your floor seems to be beyond the re-coat phase, then what you need is a Full Refinish

We didn’t think our floors were that bad but when we got the Buff and Recoat service, it made them look new again. Very pleased!
